Going to auctions, you may have seen items that were kind of bizarre, but interesting. It is always fun to go and find treasures that someone is wanting to get rid of. As the saying goes, ‘One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”. And that statement couldn’t be more accurate based on the information that we have found. This article will tell you the lengths that people will go to so they can have a part in their favorite celebrity’s memory.
Marilyn Monroe’s X-Rays
In 1954, Marilyn underwent surgery due to a condition called endometriosis. While at the Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, she had chest x-rays taken. Over 50 years later, the owner of the set of 3 x-rays, auctioned them off for $45,000.

In 2002, a die-hard Elvis Presley fan purchased a lock of his hair for $115,000. That’s insane, right? His barber had saved it from when he dyed his blonde hair to a jet black.
Air from a Kanye West concert
Now, we know this sounds a bit off. But, there is no limit to the amount of money that fans will spend on their sacred memorabilia. A fan had bagged air from a concert in 2013 who tried to sell them for $60,100, but unfortunately for them, the auctions were taken down. But it really goes to show you that his fans will stop at nothing to have their own little piece of him.
